Should I reverse my seat and back cushions?
Yes. Rotating your cushions is important to the longevity of your LEE
cushions. It will ensure a more uniform shape and comfort. It's also
important to regularly fluff your back cushions and throw pillows to
maintain a full appearance and total comfort.
Why should I regularly vacuum my upholstered furniture?
It is necessary to vacuum with a soft brush attachment regularly to remove
dust and debris and keep your furnishings like new.
Can I clean my upholstered furniture?
When purchasing your LEE upholstery, ask your retailer for a specific
cleaning code for the fabric(s)/leather(s) you have chosen. Therefore,
when an unfortunate spill happens, you will know how to react.
Can my LEE slipcovers be washed?
In our line, we have some slipcovers that can be machine washed and others
than cannot. It is vital that you check with your LEE retailer to see
if your slipcovers can be washed or dry cleaned. If dry cleaning is required,
please contact a professional dry cleaner in your area.
If your slipcover is washable, we recommend the following suggestions:
· Be careful not to overload the washing machine.
· Do not wash some parts of the slipcover and not others to prevent
color variations.
· Be sure the seat cushion and back pillow covers are zipped closed
before washing to preserve the seam life.
· Use a mild detergent and cold water.
· Slipcovers should be dried on low heat and returned to the piece
slightly damp.
· Before removing the slipcover for cleaning, look carefully at
how the cover is applied so that you can recover the piece correctly.
What's the advantage to having a LEE slipcover sofa versus a fully upholstered sofa?
The advantage to owning a slipcovered style is that it allows you the
flexibility of changing the entire mood of your room all by simply changing
the fabric of your slipcover. This is a great advantage for seasonal looks, too.
Why does my leather vary in color?
Leather is a natural product and no two hides are the same. Each hide
will have its own unique characteristics and may contain healed scars, natural
wrinkles, bite and scrape marks, and color variations. These characteristics
enhance the natural beauty of the leather and are not considered
What if I spill something on my leather piece?
· Any stains or spots should be immediately blotted with a clean,
white
cloth. An area at least twice the size of the stain should be cleaned.
Distilled water should be used to clean areas which prove difficult.
· Allow the area to dry naturally. The application of heat will cause leather to become hard.
· A very mild solution of distilled water and Neutrogena soap may be used carefully on difficult areas.
What will cause a fabric or leather to fade?
Any fabric or aniline dyed leather will fade from exposure to sunlight
as well as exposure to heating sources. Try to keep your furniture out of
direct sunlight and maintain at least two feet between your furniture
and any heating sources.
What is an aniline dyed leather and why would I want to purchase?
Aniline dyed is the process of coloring leathers throughout using non-toxic
aniline dyes. The dye is transparent and therefore allows all of nature's
signatures (insect bites, wrinkles, scars, or brands) to remain visible.
Since there are no two human fingerprints identical, no two hides are
identical. Each hide will have its own unique characteristics; therefore,
healed scars, neck wrinkles, stretch marks or the like will appear
throughout the piece of furniture and can result in shading throughout the hides.
